A research study on the current water situation in the targeted communities in Jenin and Tulkarem

Objectives:

Assess and evaluate CARE's intervention in the targeted communities.

This is a research study carried out by the Water and Environmental Studies Institute (WESI) at An-Najah National University. WESI was contracted by CARE to conduct a qualitative research study in order to assess and evaluate CARE's intervention in the targeted communities. The assessment and evaluation is based on visits to the targeted communities,interviews, meetings with key figures in the local councils and with CARE involved engineers, project documents obtained, and the outcome of the questionnaire filled out by 652 households. The outcome of the assessment and evaluation shows that CARE’s intervention in the targeted communities addresses the priorities drawn up by the Palestinian Water Authority and the needs of the local communities regarding water issues.
